For the love of animals…
Janine Stevens (McIntyre) has loved animals all her life. In her early years, she was the kid that dogs and cats followed while walking home from school. Her family was always bemused and incredulous in coming home to find the latest animal Janine was proposing needed a new home (usually theirs). This was such a visible process in the neighborhood, the neighbors often called Janine's family's home "The Stevens Farm". This in spite of the fact that the house was in the city suburbs.
Later on in life, Janine graduated from San Francisco State University with interest in working with non profits. Post graduation, she started a job in Social Services. This served an additional passion of hers, working for the betterment of the community around her. And being able to positively impact individuals in their day-to-day lives.
But of course, the connection with animals never dissipated. And came back into focus soon thereafter. Because while continuing her occupation in Social Services, she decided to branch out and take some time up working at a Doggie Daycare. Picking up dog walk jobs on the side, Janine realized there was a need for dogs to receive in home care, thus Janine started to branch out with her own business, and in 2006 started Super Heroes Pet Care. Janine is a nerd for training, and especially loves seeing the animals shine and feel comfortable in their own paws. Janine has experience working with nervous, shy, elderly, injured, blind and deaf dogs, as well as cats. She has two kitties, Swirl and Dinero that love to train, and is currently studying to work with other cat behaviors to help others with their kitties.
